Getting the right support
If you are struggling with your mental health, it is important to seek support from a qualified professional.
My Brave Sad Days offers journaling guidance and reflective resources, but I am not a trained mental health professional and I am not qualified to diagnose or treat mental illness.
When might it help to seek support?
You may wish to consider reaching out for support if you find that you are:
worrying more than usual
finding it difficult to enjoy daily life
experiencing thoughts or feelings that feel hard to cope with
feeling that things are starting to affect your day-to-day life
looking for additional support or treatment
Where can you turn for help?
There are many different places you can seek support, including:
Your GP (doctor), who can discuss your mental health and help you explore treatment options
A trained therapist or counsellor, who can offer talking therapies
Friends, family, or trusted adults, who can listen and help you seek further support
Charities and support organisations, which offer information, helplines, and guidance
Peer support groups, where people share experiences and support each other
Need someone to talk to?
Mind also offers a confidential support line where you can speak to someone about how you’re feeling or get guidance on finding help.

A note for young people
If you are under 18, it may help to speak to a trusted adult such as a parent, teacher, school counsellor, or doctor.
